Terminator Genisys: Future War is a captivating mobile based strategy game that, as the name suggests, has been inspired by the insanely popular Terminator franchise. The game does an excellent job of capturing memorable elements from the Terminator series and implementing them into a strategy game environment so, all things considered, you’re definitely going to have a great time if you choose to try it out.
When you get into the game for the first time, you’ll be guided through all the basics by an in-depth tutorial that’s been implemented for the sole purpose of teaching you all the basics. It’s worth mentioning that the tutorial is quite lengthy and takes a while to complete but, overall, it’s definitely worthwhile because you’ll know exactly how to play the game by the time you’re done with it.
Terminator Genisys: Future War is a delight to play because it implements a variety of unique Terminator themed elements into the standard modern day strategy game formula in order to give players an experience that’s unique and engaging. Before we go into any of the specifics, though, we want to point out that the progression in this game is rather slow so it’ll be a while before you’ll be able to raid enemies and wreak havoc on your foes. However, aside from the slightly slow progression in the beginning, there aren’t any noticeable flaws in the game so the overall experience is quite engaging.
Onto the specifics, Terminator Genisys: Future War has tons of things for players to do and this is exactly why it’s the kind of game that you can keep playing for hours upon hours and still not get bored. The game gives players a massive set of tools through which they can build up their base according to their preferences and, on top of this, it even has an awesome quest/mission system that keeps giving players things to do in order to make sure that everyone has some sense of direction while they play the game.
The combat of Terminator Genisys: Future War isn’t as hands-on as one would hope because players don’t have that much control over their forces once they’ve been deployed but, nonetheless, it’s quite engaging. You’ll be able to create an army by choosing from many different units and each individual units has its own strengths and weaknesses so it’s recommended that you try and get a good variety of them in your army so that it isn’t easily countered.
In terms of visuals, Terminator Genisys: Future War seems to fall behind some of the other top tier mobile based strategy games we’ve experienced over the years but, all things considered, it’s quite appealing. The animations and special effects are all fluid, the post-apocalyptic sci-fi themed setting has been pulled off with perfection, the textures are highly detailed, the character designs are on point and, to top things off, the colors are quite vibrant.
Terminator Genisys: Future War is free to play but, for players who want to get their hands a bit of bonus in-game content, it has a few micro-transactions through which players can acquire various kinds of in-game bonuses in exchange for real world money.
All said and done, Terminator Genisys: Future War is an exceptional mobile based strategy game that you’re going to love if you’re a fan of the Terminator franchise.
